For a homeschool group I am in I went on a hike this morning. I had to get up at 5:00 which isn't as bad as 4:00 for hunting. Well we drove to the trailhead and hiked. It was really rainy and cold. So cold I could see my breath. I had a lot of fun and met some new people.

Oh Deer
Well there is a field kind of by my house and in it Monday night I saw a doe mule deer. Now that is weird because I live about 10 plus miles from the mountains. In the middle of a bunch of cities.

Focus on the Founders Speech
For a homeschool a group I got to be in a speech competition about John Adams. I had to be against 20 kids in the state. I didn't win but I had a good time.
Late Recap of Hunting Season
This is a very late recap of hunting season. It started in February when I put in for a general rifle season mule deer tag in October and a youth bull elk tag in September. I ended up drawing only the deer tag. Now zoom to September. Duck hunting go cancelled so that I could practice with the .22-250 for the first time since that is what I would be hunting with. Zoom again to October 25th, opening day. We drove up to where we were hunting. That whole day we saw only saw some deer that had already been shot. During the season we by accident drove onto some private property and not even a mile into it we saw about 5 300 class bull elk and about 50 cows, and right across the road at a little water hole were about 4 mule deer bucks. 3 to run away while the one that was a spike just stood there staring at us even when my uncle was yelling at it. I was mad because I couldn't shoot any of the deer. They were the only bucks we saw during the whole season. We saw a few does during the season as well. So I guess I have to wait until next year.

Baseball
This year I didn't get to play baseball because it got in the way of scouts but I just got an opportunity. My friend Jason's baseball coach called him and asked him if I wanted to play on the team for a tournament in Roy and I of coarse said yes. The day of the tournament I was very excited. We lost the first game and we thought that was the end of the tournament when a team asked us if we wanted to play them since the team they were supposed to play against forfiteted. We played them and we won. That was now the end of the tournament.
Scout Camp
I just recently got back from Scout Camp. We went to Camp Bartlett. I ended up earning 6 merit badges. They were Archeaology, Indian Lore, Forestry, Fish and Wildlife Management, Reptiles and Amphibion Study, and Wilderness Survival. They were all fun merit badges. Our camp name was Seton. I had lots of fun.

Another Fun Day
Today right after Patriots I went to the castle park by my aunts house and played with my friend Garrett. We went down to a river close by and waded in for a long time. It was cold. But it was a fun day. And then we came home and had chicken for dinner.

A Day of Fun
Today we went to Salt Lake after lunch. First we hiked Ensign Peak and talked to my grandpa with my dad's ham radio. Then we saw some hawks up there. When we got back to the car we went to the capitol and walked around it. Then we came home and had salmon and tilapia. I had a fun day

Introducing Adam
My name is Adam Hall. I love to play baseball, hunt, and go fishing. I also love Scouts. Right now I am a Tenderfoot and I am working on my Second and First classes.
I also love reading. I am homeschooled so I read a lot. Some of my favorite books are the Harry Potter series. I like to read about hunting, baseball, and outdoor survival skills.
I also love to write during school. Right now I am writing 5 books.
- My Fiction Hunting Stories - about some hunts about me that I made up.
- My African Safari - about an African safari that I made up.
- Animal Heroes - a series that I am writing about some kids that save the world. They save the world as animals, robots that look like animals. They also save the world as just kids.
- One about baseball that will have tips on how to practice the position.
- Why Doesn't a Tree Stand Work in Utah, A Hunter's Field Guide to Hunting Big Game - about how to hunt big game in Utah.
The reason my blog is called Adam's Sweet Spots is because of a talk I heard about living life in Sweet Spots, or the good life.
That is me.
